Dogopo’s Missing Dog Helpline - Dr. Gaurav Gulati

E-Magazine Dogopo has announced the launch of its Missing Dog Helpline, a free initiative to support families whose dogs have gone missing. The helpline will go live on January 5, 2026, and is Dogopo’s biggest commitment for the new year.

Speaking about the initiative, founder Dr. Gaurav Gulati shared that the idea came from understanding the emotional trauma families experience when a dog disappears.

“Losing a dog creates panic, fear, and emotional exhaustion. Our intention is to ensure parents do not feel alone during this time and that dogs get the best possible chance of coming home safely,” he said.

The Missing Dog Helpline lets dog parents submit detailed reports when a dog goes missing. After receiving the information, Dogopo amplifies the message by publishing details on its blog and sharing the dog’s photograph on its social platforms. Location-based hashtags help increase visibility among people nearby.

Families are encouraged to share details like the dog’s name, breed or indie status, age, gender, identifying marks, last seen location, date and time, recent photographs, and contact details. This information is crucial for helping people identify and report sightings.

The helpline is not limited by geography. Dogopo aims to help no matter which city, country, or region the request comes from. People who find a lost dog and are unsure of the family can also reach out, so Dogopo can help reunite the dog or guide it to safety.

The service is entirely free and created purely to support dogs and their families.

“Happy reunions are the only outcome we care about,” said Gulati. “That is our real success.”
